What Should You Wear for Your Micro Wedding?

The coronavirus has forced many couples to abandon their 200-plus guest lists and opt instead for a virtual wedding ceremony or micro wedding. And with these changes also comes a shift in attire — somehow that elaborate ball gown you envisioned wearing before the pandemic seems out of context.

So what would be more appropriate for an intimate setting? Here are some of our favorite options, plus tips from bridal designers on how to choose a wedding-day look that’s perfect for a smaller celebration.

With so many micro weddings taking place outdoors, airy, romantic gowns are a popular choice. “Dresses made of fabric with movement and flow create a stunning juxtaposition against nature’s setting,” said the designer Claire Pettibone. “Surface textures like delicate lace, subtle beading and dainty embroidery stand out in natural light and photograph beautifully.”

PVO Clothing Co. holding Winter Wear Drive for those in need | News

Stephen Richardson knows what it is like to struggle.

Before opening PVO Clothing Co. at 1509 Mentor Ave. in Painesville, he was homeless.

While Richardson was “going through a lot in life,” he decided to begin a brand that sells “positivity on a shirt.” PVO stands for Positive Vibes Only.

“It was a reminder every day to stay happy,” Richardson said. “It started out as a 30-day positivity challenge to try to refocus my thoughts. It’s so easy to get down on yourself and be negative.”

Now, Richardson looks to give back to the community, particularly those who struggle. He has teamed up with Paula Price, founder of 100 Youth That Care, to hold a Winter Wear Drive. This will be the second year doing the drive.

“It just seems like what I’m supposed to be doing,” Richardson said. “I’m trying to give back and do something.”

Price said the

Garcelle Beauvais, Asa Soltan Rahmati Wear Matching Sunglasses

Friends that slay together, stay together. At least that’s the impression we got from Garcelle Beauvais and Asa Soltan Rahmati’s most recent hang session where the two beauties dazzled in matching glamorous looks.

Clearly, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills actress and the Shahs of Sunset alum have more in common than being Bravolebs because they met up in coordinating ensembles topped off with similarly stunning embellished sunnies. “When two spirit align!! I adore @asasoltan,” beamed Garcelle in her Instagram post on October 1.

The dynamic duo was all smiles as they posed wearing coordinating outfits with bold, floral-prints in shades of blue and black. Perhaps they are rocking styles from Asa’s kaftan collection?

What we do know is that both Asa and Garcelle coupled their glowing makeup and flowing, dark locs with a pair of oversized, glittering sunglasses with touches of gold.

“My Haitian sister @garcelle, “Asa mused in

Pastor Who Led Maine Superspreader Wedding Must Wear Mask at Son’s Nuptials, N.H. Church Says

PBS Wedding chairs

The pastor who officiated the Maine wedding that turned into a COVID-19 superspreader event linked to at least eight deaths will be required to wear a mask when he is at his son’s nuptials at a New Hampshire church later this month, a church official said.

Rev. Todd Bell, a pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Sanford, Maine, led the Aug. 7 wedding ceremony at a nearby church, and the 65 attendees were in violation of the state’s COVID-19 restrictions on crowd size and its mask mandate. The ceremony, along with the subsequent reception at Big Moose Inn, has now been linked to at least 180 infections and eight deaths, primarily in people at a nearby nursing home who did not attend the wedding.

Bell has ignored social distancing practices and Maine’s mask mandate at his church and encouraged his congregation to trust God rather than the

Pastor linked to superspreader wedding in Maine told to wear mask at son’s marriage

A Maine pastor who presided over a wedding-turned-superspreader event that has been linked to at least eight Covid-19 deaths and over a hundred more infections will be taking part in another wedding next month — his son’s.

The Rev. Todd Bell’s son is tying the knot on Oct. 17 across the state line at the South Church in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the church confirmed.

And if Bell refuses to wear a mask at this ceremony, he could get the boot.

“I hope Pastor Bell will wear a mask,” church official Jennifer Leyden told The Maine Monitor. “To ask another person of faith to leave is an incredibly hard thing. But unfortunately, I have to be a hard-ass. If you’re not wearing a mask, you’re not coming in.”
