I’d expected the trip to be emotional — cathartic, even — but I hadn’t expected it to be fun. Middleburg approves new Pearl Road shopping plaza preliminary design

MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, Ohio — Business owner Heepal Patel will be bringing an impressive new shopping center to Pearl Road in Middleburg Heights.

Planning Commission on Sept. 23 unanimously approved the preliminary design for The Plaza on Pearl, a development to be constructed at 7168 Pearl Road. It will have India Grocers as the anchor business and other tenants occupying new storefronts alongside.

Patel has operated India Grocers in Parma Heights since 1994, but the store has outgrown its current space. The new location is situated between Get Air indoor trampoline park and Maserati of Cleveland.
