As the New York Jets turn their eyes toward the future amid an 0-4 start, Le’Veon Bell is reportedly on the trade block.

Per Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, the Jets are “shopping Bell with the hope of trading him sooner rather than later” leading up to the Nov. 3 trade deadline.

Albert Breer of The MMQB added the Jets have had contact with teams about Bell, and they could be “willing to settle for a late pick and/or back-end player in return.”

Bell’s tenure with the Jets has been fraught with tension seemingly from the time he signed with the organization in March 2019.

After Mike Maccagnan was fired as New York’s general manager in May 2019, Mehta reported head coach Adam Gase “absolutely did not want to sign” Bell and “made it clear that he didn’t want

Women in ‘Handmaid’s Tale’ habits protest ahead of Barrett confirmation hearings

The striking red robes reference the clothing women are forced to wear in the fictional novel “The Handmaid’s Tale” by Margaret Atwood in which an extremist Christian sect overthrows the U.S. government and strips women of nearly all their rights.

The outfit was similarly worn by demonstrators who protested during the confirmation hearings of Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Those who oppose the nomination of Barrett fear that she will support the reversal of the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling that made abortion legal nationwide. Barrett has been critical of the ruling in the past. Many have also expressed concern that Barrett will work to take down the Affordable Care Act,

Adore Beauty’s valuation raises eyebrows ahead of IPO

Quadrant has agreed not to sell more shares until the company releases its FY 2021 results.

Adore’s founders Kate Morris and James Height will earn $45.9 million each by selling 40 per cent of their holdings. Their individual stakes will fall from 19.3 per cent to 10.8 per cent each.

The founders’ remaining shareholdings will also be escrowed to prevent further sales, but for unspecified time periods.

Quadrant bought its 60 per cent stake in September 2019, leading some professional investors to ask why it has only waited just over a year to sell its ownership interest. The likely answer being that Quadrant believes now is a good time, given soaring e-commerce valuations.

On the plus side, Adore will still be led by its founders over the long term, with most great growth businesses on the sharemarket led by founders.

UK coronavirus live: action needed now to avoid March-style lockdown, says adviser ahead of new Scotland rules | Politics

Good morning. Nicola Sturgeon, Scotland’s first minister, will make a statement to the Scottish parliament later announcing a new set of coronavirus restrictions. Scotland’s laws are already tighter than England’s but case numbers in Scotland are rising alarmingly, as they are across the UK as a whole, and Sturgeon said yesterday: “The government is receiving very strong public health advice that action over and above the current restrictions is necessary.”

We got a good insight into what that advice sounds like this morning from Prof Stephen Reicher, professor of social psychology at the University of St Andrews and an adviser to the Scottish government on Covid, as well as a contributor to Sage, the UK government’s Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies. Reicher said that without action now, a March-style lockdown would be needed by the end of the month. He told the Today programme:

I do think it’s important

Apple quietly drops third-party audio accessories ahead of launch

People queue outside an Apple store as the new iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max go on sale (Credits: REUTERS)

Apple has stopped selling third-party audio accessories from its online and physical stores, according to reports.

The move has furthered speculation the tech giant is set to reveal new speakers and headphones at an event that will also see the announcement of the iPhone 12.

Apple has a history of removing products from its stores that could compete with its own gadgets. It stopped selling Fitbit devices in Apple stores ahead of the launch of the Apple Watch in 2015.

According to Bloomberg, audio products made by Bose, Logitech and Sonos have all been pulled from Apple’s shelves. Presumably to make way for a rumoured set of over-ear headphones and a new version of the HomePod smart speaker.

‘Employees at Apple’s physical retail locations were also

Terrorist felt ‘like bride on wedding day’ ahead of her planned attack

Palestinian terrorist turned non-violent peace activist Shifa al-Qudsi felt “like a bride on her wedding day,”‎ when she attempted to carry out a suicide bombing in Netanya, she told Channel 11 last month. On April 11, 2002, during the Second Intifada, Qudsi planned to disguise herself as a pregnant woman by wearing a maternity dress under which she was to conceal 33 pounds of explosives. Her motivation, she would later claim in a documentary, was the destruction of her home in Tulkarem by the IDF.The plan was to detonate it somewhere in Netanya after 5:00 a.m., but she was arrested at 2:30 a.m. before she could carry out the attack. However, her memories of planning and preparing the attack are still fresh in her mind, liking the joy she felt to being “like a bride on her wedding day, who is preparing to go to ‎her groom. ‘The Crown’ Reveals Princess Diana’s Wedding Dress Ahead of Season 4 (Photo)

Netflix shared a first-look at Princess Diana’s wedding dress for the upcoming fourth season of “The Crown” on Saturday, noting that it is not a direct re-creation of the real-life garment.

“Emmy award-winning costume designer Amy Roberts wanted to capture the same spirit and style of David & Elizabeth Emanuel’s original design, without creating a replica for Emma Corrin,” the official show account wrote in the tweet accompanying the image of Season 4 star Corrin as Diana on her wedding day.

The upcoming fourth season of “The Crown,” which debuts Nov. 15, will cover Queen Elizabeth and the British royal family from 1979 to 1990, the era in which Princess Diana joined the royal family. Season 3 of “The Crown,” which launched last November, left off in 1977 at the Queen’s Silver Jubilee.
