Look inside the best makeup and beauty advent calendars of 2020 including Amazon, John Lewis & MAC. From the contents to the on sale dates, here’s ALL the info.
Move over chocolate, 2020 is all about beauty advent calendars. Yup, whilst a definite highlight of December used to be waking up to a sweet treat from our advent calendar, imagine instead, unwrapping your favourite makeup product or skincare essential every day? Have I got your attention?
Well, this year we’re expecting all our favourite beauty names to get involved from Amazon to Cult Beauty, M&S to ASOS and Selfridges to Benefit Cosmetics. If last year is anything to go by, these brands will be going BIG, in the hopes of being crowned the ‘best beauty advent calendar of 2020’.
But, with all these beauty powerhouses getting involved, how do any of us decide which calendar we actually want to put on our Christmas wish-list? And when we’ve finally narrowed it down to the chosen one, will we actually be able to get hold of it before they all sell out?
To help guide you through the decision, we’ve rounded up every single beauty advent calendar for 2020 – and if a brand is yet to share any details, we’ve predicted their offering based off last year. From the products included inside (think, lipstick, perfume, eyeshadow and so much more), to the on-sale dates.
Here’s everything you need to know…
When do beauty advent calendars go on sale in 2020?
A couple of early bird brands will go on sale in September (so be sure to check this page in a couple of weeks time, to see which have gone live) but for the majority, on-sale dates tend to land in October.
Which brands have a beauty advent calendar?
So many makeup, skincare and haircare brands have gotten involved in the advent calendar action. Plus, some of our favourite retailers including Selfridges, Cult Beauty, John Lewis and Liberty have joined the fun, launching calendars packed with their best-selling products from a range of different brands they stock. So, whether you’re loyal to one label and fancy picking up their entire range in one swoop (um, be sure to check out calendars from the likes of Clinique and MAC) or, prefer a mixture of brands’ best-sellers stuffed behind those 24-doors (I’m looking at you, ASOS and M&S), you certainly won’t be short of choice.
What are the best beauty advent calendars of 2020?
Scroll down to see this year’s in-cred-ible offering, plus some sneaky predictions of what to expect from the beauty brands that have yet to announce their 2020 calendars…

What to expect for 2020…
So, for the brands that are keeping their cards a liiittle closer to their chests this year, we’ve had a look back at all the beauty advent calendar offerings from last year – to give you a sneaky idea of what to expect this Christmas.
Moroccanoil Beauty Vault: What to expect
© Courtesy of brand
Moroccanoil Beauty Vault
Priced at only £20, this was one of the best beauty advent calendar bargains of last year… Known for their exceptional haircare – you may (or may not) know that Moroccanoil do body products, too. Last year’s gilded box had, in our opinion, their best hair offerings: the OG Moroccanoil Treatment, as well as the equally great Protect & Prevent Spray. There was also a mix of luxe hand and body treats to delve into. Something for everyone, basically.
Diptyque Beauty Advent Calendar: What to expect
© .
Diptyque Advent Calendar
Last year’s £320 price might be eye watering, but so so worth it. As if a Diptyque candle and fragrance were not already at the top of your xmas list – try a combined 20! There was one Holiday Special limited edition candle, 13 mini candles, 6 mini perfumes, a face oil, perfumed sticker, shower oil and rich butter. Not to mention the fact that the design was ridiculously stunning and would impress, well, everyone. The bar has been raised for 2020, guys.
Dr. Barbara Sturm Advent Calendar: What to expect

DR. BARBARA STURM Advent Calendar
If your face could speak, it would ask for this for Christmas. Possibly the boujeest skincare advent calendar of last year, at £405, inside this glorious box sit 21 of her cult products in full size, deluxe size and sachets. Yes, we know the price is an eyeful – but when you consider the fact that 90% of her stand alone products costs about £100, it was actually a steal.
Acqua di Parma Beauty Advent Calendar: What to expect
© Courtesy of brand
acqua di parma beauty advent calendar 2019
Acqua di Parma’s classic zesty scents have earned them everlasting brownie points in the beauty industry. Last year, their signature scent Colonia (and my personal fave Blu Mediterraneo) were featured in the calendar, plus a mix of other bath and body treats. At £325, it was the ultimate gift for a perfume lover (or yourself).
Cowshed 24 Day Beauty Advent Calendar: What to expect

cowshed advent calendar
Can we please talk about how beaut this box is for a sec? Yep, last year’s £130 offering was illustrated by botanical artist Katie Scott, and was made to be reused, so could be popped on your dresser once empty. Aside from the fact that it was an obvious keepsake, it also featured 24 best-selling Cowshed products – and, let’s be honest, who doesn’t love Cowshed? We’ve got our fingers crossed that this year’s offering will be even more spectacular.
Armani Beauty Advent Calendar: What to expect

Armani beauty advent calendar
Last year, Armani took their first foray into beauty advent calendars (and of course, they didn’t disappoint). At £249, encased in a gleaming red and gold box sat 24 of his most iconic products – including a full size Eyes To Kill Mascara and Lip Maestro #400. Some of the minis included: Rouge D’Armani Matte, Crema Nera Eye cream and Aqua Di Gio EDT. You even got a cute range of accessories to play with, from an Armani keyring, to a pin bow.
Clarins Women’s Advent Calendar: What to expect

Clarins Women’s Advent Calendar
Most beauty advents only contain minis, but not this one. Rather than having a full 24 days worth of treats, last year’s £60 offering held 12 products – two full size and 10 travel sized. It was a great one if you fancied stocking up on all of Clarins’ best sellers in one swoop. Inside there were beauty prods that we genuinely swear by, like the iconic Beauty Flash Balm, Wonder Perfect 4D Mascara, Instant Eye Make-Up Remover and SOS Primer Universal Light.
Clinique Beauty Advent Calendar: What to expect

Beauty Advent Calendar 2019
Listen up Clinique fans, this one’s for you. Last year the brand packed their £85 calendar with 24 ah-maz-ing skincare and makeup miniatures, including the classic Dramatically Different Moisturiser, Pep Start Eye Cream and Moisture Surge Face Cream. We expect this year’s offering to be just as awesome…
Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar: What to expect

Best beauty advent calendars 2019 – Harrods
With a total product value of £600 for an RRP of £250, this super-luxe advent calendar was one of the most lusted after for 2019. The 25 drawers were filled with make-up, skincare, hair care including Huda Beauty’s Demi Matte Lipstick in Mogul, a universally flattering shade of rose and 111Skin Celestial Black Diamond Eye Mask, a cult product for banishing dark circles. We’re expecting to see Byredo, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Laura Mercier, NARS, Hourglass, Guerlain, Becca, Decorte and even Augustinus Bader this year…
Rodial Advent Calendar: What to expect

Rodial advent calendar
Last year, this gorgeous pink box had all of Rodial’s cult skincare and makeup prods for just £98, so if you’re a fan of the brand, you need to keep an eye out for their 2020 calendar. Makeup lovers rejoice, last year’s box of beauty treats had everything you could ever need to craft your face into party-ready perfection. All the brand’s best sellers were inside: Complexion Rescue Defense, Prime Time, BAREPRO Longwear Lipstick, Lash Domination Mascara, the list goes on and on. Plus, it was a relatively affordable £79, but is worth £218 – so, essentially it’s a steal.
