Instagram model with ‘biggest cheeks in the world’ wants more

This Ukrainian Instagram model was not being tongue in cheek when she said she wants even larger features.

Anastasia Pokreshchuk, 30, claims to have the “biggest cheeks in the world” — but wants to pump them up with fillers even further, the Daily Star reported.

“You may think that they are too big but I think that they’re a little bit small, I need to refresh them again soon,” the Kiev resident said.

Pokreshchuk received her first cheek injections four years ago and has not looked back.

“After I had the injections and saw the changes in my cheeks, I fell in love with them,” she said.

“I love them, I want them to look like this and I’m very happy. I regularly inject other parts of my face myself,” she added. “I understand that they look weird for other people but I don’t mind.”

Poet Jane Hirshfield on bearing witness to the beauty of an imperiled world

Q. Many of the poems in “Ledger” suggest a deep concern for the present environmental crisis, a situation whose urgency seems increasingly difficult to ignore. Recently your own state of California has been burning with fires of historic proportion.

A. This Sept. 9 was world-displacingly wrong. I have not recovered from it. The morning began dark red, then grew darker. Streetlights never turned off. The neighbor’s cat clung to my side, as unnerved as I was. It felt as if the veil of normality had been torn away — as if, that day, you were seeing the world as it actually is: This is what we have done to the planet. Climate change is no longer a future crisis. I’m breathing its smoke now, still, today. In 2016, I waded its sea rise, on Captiva Island in Florida. The recognition stops you, silences. And still, you have to find a

A Texas teenager has been crowned a Guinness World Records holder — twice over — thanks to her long legs.

Maci Currin recently set two records as both the woman and the teenager with the longest legs in the world, according to a video posted on Tuesday by Guinness World Records.

Maci, 17, currently stands at 6 feet 10 inches tall, and has a left leg that measures in at 53.255 inches long, while her right leg is just a bit shorter at 52.874 inches long, Guinness reported.

“You don’t really fit into the category of ‘normal,'” Maci told Guinness of the benefits to having long legs. “You’re unique, you have something different, and people are drawn to it.”

Transgender women in rugby union: Stonewall criticises World Rugby decision

An Ireland v USA women's international
Transgender women are now unable to play international rugby union

LGBT rights campaigners have criticised World Rugby’s decision to prevent transgender women from competing at the highest levels of the women’s game.

New guidelines published on Friday “do not recommend” transgender women play contact rugby “on safety grounds”.

National unions can be flexible in their application of the guidelines at community level.

LGBT charity Stonewall says it is “deeply disappointed” with the decision.

“The proposals were based on hypothetical data modelling that has little relevance to the questions of fairness and safety in rugby that the policy review sought to address,” said Stonewall chief executive Nancy Kelley.

“Important policies like this should be based on robust, relevant evidence and work closely with trans people playing in the sport.”

Transgender men remain permitted to play men’s contact rugby union, but the sport’s governing body says a review of its existing guidelines

Brazil Kicks Off World Cup Qualifiers In Style With 5-0 Victory Over Bolivia

The job of Brazil coach is at the best of times a pressure cooker and any defeat or deflating performance justifies leveling unrestrained criticism at his address. When Tite succeeded Carlos Dunga four years ago and steered Brazil through the qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup with ease, he became King Midas. Brazil’s game had become stale and reactionary under Dunga, and the results were middling. Tite quickly restored the Seleção’s standing and imbued the team with swagger again.

Recently, he no longer was Brazil’s darling coach. Since the World Cup and defeat against Belgium,

World Rugby bans trans women from elite women’s game due to injury risks

Trans women will not be permitted to play elite women’s rugby for the foreseeable future because of ‘significant’ safety concerns, World Rugby has stated after releasing new guidelines for transgender players.

In a statement explaining its decision, World Rugby said that after months of research and examining the latest scientific research it had “concluded that safety and fairness cannot presently be assured for women competing against trans women in contact rugby”.

The Guardian first revealed in July that World Rugby was considering becoming the first international sports federation to adopt such a policy after finding “at least a 20-30% greater risk” of injury risk factors when a female player is tackled by someone who has gone through male puberty.

In a document explaining its decision published on Friday, World Rugby said that “It is known that biological males (whose

Why This Venture Philanthropist Is Betting On Women In Lebanon To Lead The World In Social Entrepreneurship

In times of crisis, true leaders emerge. The NGOs and social entrepreneurs in Lebanon, a number of them women, are living proof of this. In Beirut, during the continual aftermath of the Beirut Port explosion, which burned through the capital on August 4,  causing at least 200 deaths, 6,500 injuries, $15 billion USD in property damage, and leaving an estimated 300,000 people homeless, entrepreneurs and activists hit the ground when support from the government was nowhere to be found.

Michelle Mouracade, the country director for Lebanon of Alfanar, the first venture philanthropy organization in the Middle East that supports social enterprises over the long-term with funding, training, management support and access to networks and markets, says she’s constantly impressed by the nimbleness and sharp thinking of both the nonprofit leaders and social entrepreneurs of Lebanon.

“Despite what we’re all going

Astronaut chooses daughter’s wedding over Boeing space test flight | Nation & World

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — The commander of Boeing’s first astronaut flight has pulled himself off the crew so he’s on Earth — not at the International Space Station — for his daughter’s wedding next year.

It’s the second crew switch for Boeing’s Starliner capsule, grounded until the end of this year or early next because of software problems encountered during the first test flight last December.

Boeing astronaut Chris Ferguson announced his decision Wednesday. Last year, NASA astronaut Eric Boe stepped aside from the first Starliner crew for medical reasons. Both were replaced by experienced space station astronauts.

In a video posted to his Twitter account, Ferguson said it was a difficult decision, but “next year is very important for my family.” He said he has several commitments “which I simply cannot risk missing.” A Boeing spokeswoman confirmed one is his daughter’s wedding.

“I’m not going anywhere. I’m just not
