Execution-style murder of 6-year-old Michigan boy, two others, was about ‘drugs and money,’ police say

WARREN, MI – A 37-year-old Michigan man has been charged with the murder of a 6-year-old boy, the boy’s father, and the boy’s father’s girlfriend.

Nicholas Raad Bahri of Bloomfield Hills is accused of the “execution-style killing” of 6-year-old Tai’raz Moore and 28-year-old Isis Rimson at a home on Otis Street in Warren on Oct. 1.

Detroit police also found the body of 32-year-old Tukoyo Moore, Tai’raz’s father, in a torched car around the same time. Bahri is also charged with his murder.

When asked about motive for the murders on Tuesday, Warren Police Commissioner Bill Dwyer simply said “It was all about drugs and money. I’ll leave it at that” but noted that the suspect and victims did know each other.

Macomb County Judge john M. Chmura found probable cause for all 15 counts against Bahri, who has an extensive criminal history, in 37th District Court in Warren on

Why women shouldn’t be afraid to talk about money

During your next night out (or Zoom call in) with your friends, break open the wine and talk about investments. It might sound weird at first, but that’s what Divya Gugnani, CEO and co-founder of Wander Beauty, advises women to start doing.

“Every time my husband goes out for a guy’s dinner, why do they discuss investments, why are they talking about the stock market, why are they talking about real estate?” Gugnani asks. It’s because it works. “They come home and they share ideas, and their wealth compounds,” she says.

It’s time women do the same.

Sofia Kenin is the third different American woman to reach the French Open final in the last five years.

On Saturday, the No. 4 seed will try to win on the Paris clay, which is what Serena Williams in 2016 and Sloane Stephens in 2018 failed to do.

Kenin is attempting to become the first American singles champion at Roland Garros since Williams in 2015.

Standing in the way of her second-career major victory is Iga Swiatek, a 19-year-old Polish player that has taken the event by storm.

Swiatek is one of two players left in the tournament in either singles draw that has not lost a set yet. The other is Rafael Nadal, who is a 12-time champion at Roland Garros.

Marlins model themselves after Yankees, minus the money

Don Mattingly doesn’t like the nickname, but he understands it.

The Marlins, who begin their NLDS against Atlanta on Tuesday as the darling underdogs of MLB’s expanded postseason, are Yankees South.

It starts at the top with Derek Jeter, Yankees icon and Marlins chief executive officer. And then comes his top baseball-operations hire in three years in charge, vice president of player development and scouting Gary Denbo, a longtime Yankees coach and executive. And, of course, there is Mattingly, Jeter’s predecessor as Yankees captain and the longest-tenured manager in Marlins history.

“I wouldn’t call it Yankees South, I’d call us the Marlins,” Mattingly said. “But there probably is a lot of Yankee flavor in our organization.”
