Jaguars and Academy Sports & Outdoors Gift Two Season Ticket Members with “Home-Gating” Gear

TIAA Bank Field is welcoming fans all season long, but the Jaguars Foundation and Academy Sports & Outdoors know that not everyone can be there.  With COVID-19 in mind, the organizations partnered to gift two season ticket members a complete “home-gaiting” package to help recreate that game day experience at their own homes.  

Richard Wiles, a Jaguars season ticket member for the last 22 seasons, suffered a heart attack recently and because of his health is electing to play it safe and limit his exposure as much as possible.  That means no Jaguars games in person this year.  

“It’s been very strange, but the NFL and the Jaguars have handled it pretty doggone good,” said Wiles. “Yes, it’s definitely disappointing since I’m a long-time season ticket member but because of my medical situation, I couldn’t attend anyway. Over 6 crore members may get first instalment of 8.5% interest soon

Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is likely to credit the first instalment of the 8.5% interest to its subscribers by Diwali, according to a report by Live Hindustan. The EPFO central board in September said it will pay 8.5% interest to its subscribers for the year ended 31 March. The interest rate be divided into 8.15% and 0.35%. While the government-managed fund may transfer 8.15% interest by Diwali, the rest of the 0.35% is likely to be credited by December, according to reports.

The retirement fund body’s earnings were badly hit in March due to coronavirus pandemic. “In view of exceptional circumstances arising out of COVID-19, the agenda regarding interest rate was reviewed by the central board and it recommended the same rate of 8.5% to the central government,” the labour ministry earlier said.
