CHICAGO — A stolen car crashed through the front of a Mag Mile jewelry store after it sped away from police Sunday afternoon.
Around 3:55 p.m. Sunday, the Chicago Police Department said officers attempted to pull a black sedan over after it made “multiple traffic violations” near the 600 block of north Michigan Avenue.
The car appeared to slow before speeding away, although police said there was no pursuit. Moments later, the driver of the sedan swerved to avoid another vehicle and crashed through the front of a jewelry store on the 300 block of north Michigan Avenue.
All three men in their 20s who were inside the sedan were arrested, and while they refused EMS attention at the scene, one was taken to the hospital for a minor head injury. No other injuries were reported.
